Nancy Reyes will be presenting TWO half-day seminars at Prairie Lutheran Church in Eden Prairie, MN. As a Certifying Official for NACSW, Nancy will be utilizing this unique location to challenge and grow each nose work team. Nancy is a Professional Dog Trainer, a Business Owner and an International Speaker with over 30 years’ experience in animal behavior, dog sport coaching and dog training.


Seminars

Problem Solving for Elite & Summit
Monday, April 13, 2026, 8:30am-12:30pm
At Elite and Summit, success depends on nuance. Subtle behavior changes, layered odor, blank areas, and mental composure make the difference between qualifying and missing.

This workshop refines:

  • Commitment decisions at advanced levels

  • Handling strategy in large or complex environments

  • Discrimination of pooling, residual, and inaccessible odor

  • Mental resilience during championship-level searches

This seminar is geared to experienced teams ready to sharpen precision and compete with greater clarity and control. There will be 8 working spots, and 5 auditor spots available. Please Note: Open to Elite & Summit teams

Problem Solving at the NW2 & NW3 Levels
Monday, April 13, 2026, 1:30pm-5:30pm
This seminar is designed for teams preparing for or actively competing at NW2/NW3 who want more clarity, confidence, and consistency. At NW2 and NW3 we introduce more complex odor pictures, increased independence, and greater handler pressure. If you’re experiencing inconsistency, hesitation on alerts, or difficulty with converging or elevated odor, this workshop is for you. There will be 8 working spots, and 5 auditor spots available.

We’ll focus on:

  • Solving common NW2/NW3 search challenges

  • Improving commitment timing

  • Clarifying alert criteria

  • Strengthening search strategy under trial conditions

Please Note: Open to teams trialing at the NW2 & NW3 level


REGISTRATION

Registration will open on Friday, March 13, 2026 at 11:00 AM Central Time (CT) for both the Random Draw AND Confirmed Spots. Enrollment will be limited to a single dog per handler per session to maximize learning. In the event there are working spots remaining, we will open up the sessions to multiple dogs per handler and to lower titled dogs who are looking forward to their next title.

Auditors are welcome from any level.  There are 5 Auditor spots available per seminar. A wait list will be maintained for all seminars as the need arises.

NACSW CEUs: 2.5 CEU / seminar (applies for both auditor & working spots)

There will be TWO REGISTRATION OPTIONS for Working Spots**

  1. RANDOM DRAW SPOTS | Register for a Random Draw Spot

  2. CONFIRMED SPOTS | Register for a Confirmed Spot

**This split registration system provides the opportunity for both participants who want the assurance of a working spot and also for the participants who may not be able to get to register right away when registration opens up. If all confirmed spots are not filled by the end of the draw period, they will be awarded to the random draw entries.

AUDITORS are welcome to audit any or all sessions. Attendance will be limited to 5 Auditors per Workshop and registration will be accepted in the order received. | Register to Audit


COST

Random Draw Working Spot: $140 per dog and handler team per half day session
Confirmed Working Spot: $165 per dog and handler team per half day session
Audit Spot: limited to 5 spots/seminar
$45 for 1 seminar... or ... $70 for both seminars

Please NOTE: Confirmed Spots will be required to pay at the time of registration. If you are awarded a spot from the Random Draw, payment will be required within 24 hours of receiving an email notification to secure your spot. Auditor registration will be accepted in the order received.

Registration Entry and Closing

  • Registration will open on Friday, March 13, 2026 at 11:00 AM Central Time (CT) for both the Random Draw AND Confirmed Spots

  • The Random Draw Spots will be awarded by random draw of all entries received between 11:00 AM, March 13, 2026 and 11:00 AM, March 15, 2026.

  • Confirmed spots will be first received and are limited to 4 spots per session. An automated payment email from The K9 Nose website will be sent which CONFIRMS your spot and payment.

  • Confirmation & Wait List emails for the Random Draw will be sent out by 11am on March 17, 2026.

  • Registration will close when all spots are filled after the draw period or 6:00 PM Central Time (CT) on April 6, 2026.

  • A wait list will be maintained from all random draw registrations received and any additional registrations after the draw.

  • Auditors may not see every team search depending on the size of the room/areas being searched. All day auditors will be on their own for lunch.

  • The K9 Nose reserves the right to cancel the seminar if minimum registration numbers are not met

  • After all registrations have been received during the draw period, if the sessions are not full, registrations will continue to be accepted in the order they are received through the closing date or when all spots are fill.


More About Nancy Reyes

With more than 30 years of professional experience, Nancy Reyes, CNWI, is a dedicated dog trainer whose work spans both dog behavior and dog sports. Her path began with a lifelong interest in animals and has evolved into helping dogs and their people navigate a wide range of challenges.

In 2004, Nancy founded For Your K9, Inc. in Elmhurst, IL, creating a training center that offers behavior-focused programs alongside dog sports such as Agility, Barn Hunt, Rally, and Nose Work. She has extensive experience working with complex behavior issues, including aggression and separation anxiety. At the core of her training philosophy is a commitment to strengthening the human–dog relationship through clear communication, thoughtful training, and mutual respect.

Nancy is deeply involved in the canine nose work community, serving as a Certified Nose Work Instructor (CNWI), Certifying Official, and Judge for the National Association of Canine Scent Work (NACSW), as well as a CPE Scent Work Judge and CWAGS Judge. She has mentored scent work instructors both locally and internationally, in person and online.

An international speaker and presenter, Nancy has taught dog behavior and nose work across the United States and in Japan. She has written for multiple breed publications and regularly presents webinars for professional and owner-focused audiences. As a Certified Mental Management Instructor, she also coaches dog–handler teams to improve focus, resilience, and performance across dog sports.


Cancellation Policy & Refunds

  • For cancellation of a working spot or an audit spot on or before 6pm central time April 6, 2026 – Full refund minus $25 processing fee IF your spot can be filled from the wait list.

  • For cancellation of a working spot or an audit spot after 6pm central time April 6, 2026 – no refunds will be issued.

  • All cancellations must be emailed to shopk9nose@gmail.com

  • This cancellation and refund policy applies to any participant that must withdraw for any reason including but not limited to injury, illness, emergency, and personal or work-related reasons.

  • No part of the fee will be refunded if the seminar cannot take place or be completed by reason of fire, civil disturbances, an Act of God, public emergency, or any other cause beyond the control of the event organizers.
